Professor Corinna Peniston-Bird is a Professor of Gender and Cultural History at Lancaster University's Department of History, part of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Her research focuses on gender, cultural memory, and 20th-century conflicts, particularly WWII and WWI, with emphasis on memorialization, home front dynamics, and women's roles in war efforts. She leads courses such as HIST 288, 348, and 477, supervises PhD theses, and engages in community heritage projects like Migration Stories North West.
