Chris Smith is a Lecturer in History at the School of Social Sciences & Humanities, Coventry University. His research focuses on modern British history, with particular emphasis on intelligence and espionage history, the Second World War Home Front, and the intersection of gender and class within secret organizations. He is an elected Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and a member of the Social History Society.
