Constance Hadley is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Management & Organizations at the Boston University Questrom School of Business. She also serves as a Faculty Research Fellow at the Human Resources Policy Institute (HRPI) and leads the Institute for Life at Work (ILW), a research laboratory focused on the future of work, hybrid/remote work, team effectiveness, and employee well-being.

She has published extensively in journals like Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, and The Leadership Quarterly, with themes centered on remote work dynamics, peer support, and crisis leadership.
Her recent publications highlight trends in generative AI’s impact on productivity, the role of team rituals in hybrid settings, and strategies to combat workplace loneliness. These works bridge technology adoption, emotional regulation, and organizational structure.
Scientific recognition includes being named a Thinkers50 Radar Class of 2024 “one to watch” for future-of-work research. Her work has been featured in media outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and NPR.
Dr. Hadley has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in organizational behavior and negotiations at Questrom. Her Institute for Life at Work collaborates globally to produce data-driven insights for thriving organizations.
