Conor Bracken is an Assistant Professor in the Liberal Arts department. He holds a PhD from Columbia University and a BA from Williams College. His work focuses on poetry and translation of francophone literature, with notable publications including Henry Kissinger, Mon Amour (Bull City Press) and translations of Mohammed Khaïr-Eddine and Jean D'Amérique. His writing has been supported by organizations such as the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference and the Sewanee Writers' Conference, and appears in journals like The New Yorker, Gulf Coast, and Ploughshares.
Bracken’s research emphasizes contemporary francophone poetry and cross-cultural translation practices. He has received institutional grants from Cornell’s Institute for Comparative Modernities and Inprint, reflecting his engagement with comparative modernity and creative writing pedagogy.
