Kai Carlson-Wee is a Lecturer at Stanford University, known for his literary and artistic contributions. He is the author of the poetry collection RAIL (BOA Editions, 2018), with works published in prestigious journals such as Ploughshares, New England Review, and The Missouri Review, which awarded him its 2013 Editor’s Prize.

His research and creative practice spans poetry, creative writing, and interdisciplinary art forms, particularly poetry film. His work has been recognized through fellowships at renowned institutions including the MacDowell Colony, Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, and Sewanee Writers' Conference. A former Wallace Stegner Fellow, he has also gained acclaim for his photography featured in Narrative Magazine.
