معرفی
Congzhou Wang is an Associate Professor in Nanoscience and Biomedical Engineering at South Dakota Mines. His research develops nanobiomaterials for cancer and cardiovascular disease treatment through biophysical modulation of cellular behavior.
Research areas:
- Nanoparticle-mediated phenotype modulation in cancer and endothelial cells
- Targeted photothermal therapies using black phosphorus and gold nanomaterials
- Biocompatibility and biomechanical effects of metal-organic frameworks
- Actin cytoskeleton remodeling via nanomaterial interactions
Publications demonstrate innovative approaches to reverse pathological cellular transitions (EMT/EndMT) using targeted nanosystems. Recent work focuses on N-cadherin targeting for atherosclerosis and CD146 targeting for metastatic cancer.
Recipient of NSF CAREER Award and South Dakota Mines Research Award. Research supported by NIH, NASA, and NSF. Utilizes atomic force microscopy and molecular techniques to investigate nano-bio interactions.
