Clodagh O'Gorman

Professor Clodagh O'Gorman is a Foundation Chair and Professor of Paediatrics at the School of Medicine, University of Limerick, and a Consultant Paediatrician with the Health Services Executive (HSE) in Ireland. She serves as a member of the HSE Clinical Advisory Group in Paediatrics and sits on the Board of the Faculty of Paediatrics at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI).

Her research focuses on paediatric endocrinology, type 1 diabetes, and Turner Syndrome, with recent work examining physical activity barriers in adolescents with diabetes and clinical procedure competency training in paediatrics. She has contributed to national clinical guidelines and quality improvement initiatives.

A nationally recognized authority in paediatric diabetes care and medical education, she leads clinical advisory groups while maintaining active research programs in metabolic risk factors, healthcare delivery systems, and training methodologies. Her collaborative network spans Ireland, Canada, and the UK.
