Paul McNally

Prof. Paul McNally is an Associate Professor at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and Director of Research and Innovation at Children’s Health Ireland. He specializes in Paediatrics and Child Health, with a focus on cystic fibrosis (CF) lung disease and clinical trials. He graduated from UCD School of Medicine (1998) and completed an MD in CF lung disease at RCSI (2007). He trained at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and became a consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine at Children’s Health Ireland in 2009.

Research Interests: Paul’s work centers on clinical trials, early CF lung disease, and CFTR modulator therapies. His research aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being).

Grants & Funding: Paul has secured over €15M in grants, including projects like ENHANCE (€15M+), RECOVER, and BUNNY. His collaborations span academic institutions and industry partners.
