Nick Croft

Professor Nick Croft is a Clinical Professor in Paediatric Gastroenterology at Queen Mary University of London and affiliated with the Blizard Institute, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. His research focuses on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in children, paediatric endoscopy, and translational studies involving genetics and immunology.

• Co-Director of the NIHR London and South East Medicines for Children Clinical Research Network
• UK Principal Investigator for PIBD SET Quality (H2020-funded)
• Lead of EMERGENCi - a national prospective study of endoscopy in paediatrics

Research & Collaboration: Croft actively collaborates with laboratory-based colleagues on genetic and immunological responses in paediatric IBD. His work includes industry and non-industry clinical trials, epidemiological studies, and quality improvement initiatives in paediatric gastroenterology.

Teaching & Education: He directs the MSc in Gastroenterology, introducing distance learning, and contributes to undergraduate paediatric teaching programs. He previously served as Deputy Dean for Postgraduate Taught Studies.
