Claudio Meier

Dr. Claudio Meier is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Memphis, previously holding the same position at the University of Concepción, Chile. His expertise lies in ecohydrology and ecohydraulics, focusing on fluvial processes, environmental change in rivers, and rainfall analysis. He obtained degrees from the University of Concepción, Colorado State University, and the University of Montana. He serves on editorial boards, including the International Journal of River Basin Management, and has advised numerous graduate students. His research emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches combining field observations, laboratory experiments, and theoretical models to address challenges in river systems and hydrological engineering.
