Clare Hibberd is a Lecturer in Sound at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she teaches on the BA Production Technology Management course. She holds a First Class BA (Hons) in Theatre Practice-Sound Design from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (2004) and an MEd in Learning and Teaching in the Arts. Her professional work spans large-scale theatre productions, including roles at the Royal Opera House Muscat Oman (2015-2018), Edinburgh International Festival (2022), and Sound Design for Kidnapped! (National Theatre of Scotland, 2023). Clare's research focuses on sound design methodologies and arts education, reflected in her 2019 contribution to Audio Education: Theory, Culture and Practice.
