Clara Warnaar serves as Assistant Professor of Music Performance in Ithaca College's School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. A core member of the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), she performs with ensembles including Yarn/Wire and Bang on a Can All-Stars while premiering works by leading composers like Steve Reich and Missy Mazzoli.
Her educational foundation includes studies at the Manhattan School of Music and Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Warnaar actively bridges academic and professional realms through Broadway appearances (Into the Woods), film soundtracks (White Noise, The Fate of the Furious), and experimental projects such as A New Age for New Age which reimagines New Age aesthetics.
As an educator, she mentors composers through Luna Composition Lab and OAcademy, teaching at Interlochen Percussion Intensive, Sō Percussion Summer Institute, and the Walden School. Her artistic practice integrates performance, composition, and interdisciplinary collaboration while maintaining dual bases in New York City and Ithaca.
