Claire Henderson is a Clinical Professor of Public Mental Health at King's College London's Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN). She serves as Director of the Centre for Implementation Science, Senior Clinical Adviser at King's GKT School of Medical Education, and Joint Academic Lead for the Quality Centre at King’s Health Partners. Her work focuses on evaluating complex mental health interventions and stigma reduction strategies.

Research Interests: Claire Henderson specializes in the development and evaluation of interventions to reduce mental health stigma, advance choice documents, culturally adapted family interventions, and recovery colleges. She investigates mental health literacy, quality improvement in healthcare, and the impact of public campaigns like Every Mind Matters and Time to Change.
Recent Trends: Her 2025 publications emphasize cultural adaptation of stigma scales, recovery colleges, advance choice documents, and pharmacy-based crisis response. Earlier 2024 work explores global stigma patterns, workplace mental health, and implementation challenges in diverse settings.
Advising & Grants: She supervises PhD and DClinPsy students at IoPPN and MBBS students at GKT. Current projects include £2.5m funding for Advance Choice Documents, supported by the Maudsley Charity and NIHR.
Public Engagement: Claire leads mindfulness workshops for Mind in Croydon, speaks at events like Pint of Science, and participates in Mental Health Question Time panels. She co-developed the Lifeguard Pharmacy initiative and contributes to The Lancet Commission on Ending Stigma.
