Claire Crawford is a Visiting Fellow at King’s College London’s Global South Research Group and an ESRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Politics at the University of York. She holds a PhD in Politics (2023) from King’s, where her thesis on postcolonialism, feminism, and digital activism in India was funded by the Leverhulme Trust. Her research focuses on social movements, postcolonial and feminist theory, digital politics, and Indian political economy. She also teaches postcolonial and gender politics as an Associate Lecturer at York and collaborates with the Politics of Style Collective.

Her work examines the digital governance of social movements, with a recent blog analyzing the racialized anti-lockdown movement in the UK. She has held consultancy roles at British International Research Institutes and contributed to interdisciplinary projects bridging postcolonial theory with digital activism.
