Cindy Thomas Archer

Cindy Thomas Archer is a Professor of Lawyering Skills and Associate Dean for Equity at the University of California, Irvine School of Law. She previously served as Clinical Professor of Law and Associate Dean of Clinical Programs at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where she established the Loyola Social Justice Law Clinic. Her expertise focuses on legal communication, client representation ethics, and inclusive excellence in education. She holds a BA from Stanford University and a JD from Georgetown University.

Prof. Archer has been recognized for her commitment to equity, including the 2018 Hidden Hero Award and an honorary membership in Alpha Sigma Nu. Her research addresses cultural humility in legal practice, experiential education pedagogy, and professional responsibility. She actively contributes to national legal education initiatives through presentations at conferences like the LWI One-Day Workshops and the South East Association of Law Schools Conference.

Her leadership roles include directing Loyola’s first-generation law student program, chairing equity committees, and serving on the university President’s Implicit Bias Taskforce. She designs and facilitates university-wide diversity training programs, emphasizing inclusive practices in legal education.
