Dr. Christopher K. Manner is a Professor of Economics at Union University’s McAfee School of Business. He holds a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University and a B.S. from the University of Tennessee, Martin. With a full-time teaching career since 1996, he has taught a wide range of economics courses, including Intermediate Microeconomics, which emphasizes problem-solving and critical thinking. His research spans behavioral economics, education economics, healthcare economics, and consumer behavior, with over 15 peer-reviewed articles in journals like the Journal of Business and Economic Perspectives and the International Journal of Social Science Research. Dr. Manner has received awards such as the Union University Dean’s Service Award (2016) and a Distinguished Paper Award (2014).
His work explores topics including parental saving behavior, college student employment dynamics, personality traits influencing consumer reviews, and migration’s impact on fertility.
