Christopher Griffin is a Lecturer at the Catholic University of the West (UCO Nantes) and heads the Political Science minor, International Education, and Languages departments. He holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of Southern California (2009).
Research Interests: His work focuses on counterinsurgency warfare, U.S. foreign policy, terrorism in Africa, and French military operations in the Sahel. He examines historical applications of military doctrine and strategic cooperation between Western nations in combating terrorism.
Publications (2025–2020): Recent works analyze secession in the English-speaking world, U.S. military doctrine evolution, and counterterrorism dynamics in Africa and the Sahel. His 2024 research explores historical influences on modern military strategies.
Labs & Teams: Affiliated with the CHUS Public laboratory, Griffin contributes to interdisciplinary research on military and political themes.
