Christopher Corporandy

Christopher Corporandy is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Visual Development at the College for Creative Studies (CCS), Detroit, where he contributes to the 'Acting for Film and Animation' curriculum. He also teaches Voice & Speech, Dialects, and Acting at Wayne State University. A certified practitioner of Knight-Thompson Speech Work, he holds an MFA from Wayne State University/Hilberry Repertory and a BFA from NYU/Tisch School of the Arts, with additional training from the Moscow Art Theatre.

His research and teaching focus on voice, speech, and dialect training for actors, with a commitment to linguistic inclusivity and supporting artists of color. He explores the intersections between classical verse drama (particularly Shakespeare), rap, and other rhythmic performance genres. His work emphasizes phonetic precision, cultural authenticity, and the expansion of 'acceptable' speech in theatrical contexts.

Christopher is a member of SAG-AFTRA, Actors’ Equity Association, and the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA). His professional experience spans regional and international stages in New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, Buffalo, Minneapolis, Dublin, and Moscow.

As an advisor and educator, he mentors emerging artists in vocal technique and performance, particularly through curriculum development and hands-on coaching.
