Christine Pendrill is a Professor of Cor Anglais at the Royal College of Music (RCM), specializing in second/related study instruction. She previously served as Principal Cor Anglais in the Philharmonia Orchestra (1980–1985) and London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) until her 2022 retirement. Notably, she was the first woman elected to the LSO Board of Directors (1986–1989). Her career includes premiering James MacMillan’s 'The World’s Ransoming' and recording it with Sir Colin Davis.
