Christine L. Cho is a Full Professor at Nipissing University's Schulich School of Education within the Faculty of Education and Professional Studies in North Bay, Ontario, where she teaches Introduction to Curriculum Design, Social Justice & Equity, and Reflective Practice.
Dr. Cho holds a PhD and brings dual expertise as a former K-8 classroom teacher and practicing visual artist. Her research confronts systemic inequities through critical examinations of racial, ethnic, and linguistic representation in educational institutions, specifically investigating how teacher identity and immigrant teacher aspirations are shaped by school structures.
Her scholarship employs critical consciousness-raising methodologies to challenge pre-service educators to interrogate their social locations and dismantle normalized inequities in schooling. Key research domains include:
