Hyesun Cho is a Professor in the Department of Curriculum & Teaching at the University of Kansas, specializing in TESOL, critical literacy, and multilingual education. She joined KU in 2011 after earning her Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition from the University of Hawaii. Her work emphasizes social justice, identity formation, and technology integration in language education. Cho has received prestigious awards including the 2022 Faculty Achievement Award for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the 2018 Research Award.
