Hyesun Kim serves as an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) of Korean in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Utah, a position she has held since January 2019 after previously serving as an Instructor (Lecturer) from September 2018 to December 2018.

- M.Ed. in Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (2003-2006)
