Glen Sharpe

Dr. Glen Sharpe is an Associate Professor in the Schulich School of Education at Nipissing University. A Mohawk of the Bay of Quinte, he completed his EdD at OISE/University of Toronto in Sociology and Equity Studies. His research examines critical issues in education including teacher abuse of elementary students, bullying, Indigenous pedagogy, and reconciliation frameworks.

Sharpe actively contributes to Indigenous education through organizations including INDSPIRE (as Teacher Mentor), The Indigenous Professionals Association of Canada, and The Indigenous Circle of Educators. His community-engaged scholarship focuses on decolonizing educational practices and promoting inclusive learning environments.

Award recognition includes Nipissing University's highest teaching honor (Chancellor's Award 2018), national recognition for community engagement (Governor General's Medal 2016), and curriculum development awards from Indigenous educational organizations. He has consulted on projects related to Indigenous youth mentoring and reconciliation initiatives.
