Dr. Christin Beese is a Researcher at the University of Hamburg's Faculty of Education, affiliated with the Department of General, Intercultural and International Comparative Education and Educational Psychology. She has been employed at Universität Hamburg since 2017 and currently serves as the National Project Leader for the BMBF/KMK-funded TIMSS 2027 international education assessment study. Her academic background includes a PhD (2022) and MA/BA in Educational Science from Universität Hamburg.
Her research examines educational assessment systems, focusing on:
- International comparative studies (TIMSS)
- Test anxiety and student well-being
- Educational disparities and social inequality
- Science/mathematics education
- Impact of digitalization on learning
- COVID-19 educational recovery
Her 16+ publications (2017-2025) primarily analyze large-scale assessment data from TIMSS studies.
