Christian Mølgaard

Christian Mølgaard is a Professor in preventive and clinical pediatric nutrition at the Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports (NEXS) at the University of Copenhagen, a position he has held since July 2015. He also served as Head of Section for Pediatric and International Nutrition at NEXS from July 2015 to July 2023 and was an Adjunct Professor at the Clinical Institute, University of Southern Denmark from March 2018 to February 2023.

Professor Mølgaard's research focuses on child and adolescent nutrition across multiple dimensions. As an academic mentor, Professor Mølgaard has supervised 26 completed PhD theses and currently oversees 7 ongoing PhD studies. He has also served on 28 PhD assessment committees, demonstrating his commitment to academic development and quality control in graduate education. Professor Mølgaard maintains active clinical practice as a Medical Consultant at the Paediatric Nutrition Unit of Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, ensuring his research remains grounded in real-world clinical challenges.
