معرفی
Christian Dewey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant & Soil Sciences at the University of Delaware, affiliated with the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources. His research focuses on molecular-scale geochemical, biological, and hydrological processes governing contaminant/nutrient mobility and soil carbon budgets.
- Education:
- Postdoc in Chemistry, University of Minnesota
- Ph.D. in Soil Chemistry, Stanford University
- M.S. in Water Resources Management, University of Wisconsin
- B.A. in English, Carleton College
Research Interests:
The Dewey Lab integrates advanced analytical techniques (X-ray absorption spectroscopy, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry) with reactive transport modeling to study soil biogeochemistry under climate change. His work bridges field observations with molecular-scale insights to predict watershed-scale impacts.
Teaching:
Instructs PLSC/CHEM 608: Environmental Soil Chemistry, reflecting his expertise in soil chemical processes.
Laboratory:
Based in the Dewey Research Group, combining experimental and computational approaches for environmental sustainability.
