Professor Christhina Candido is Director of the Sustainable and Healthy Environments (SHE) Lab at the University of Melbourne's Melbourne School of Design. As a WELL Faculty member, she collaborates with GBCA, NABERS, and IWBI on building performance standards.
Her research examines the intersection of building design, occupant experience, and environmental performance, with focus areas including:
- Post-occupancy evaluation methodologies
- Indoor environmental quality metrics
- Climate-responsive design in tropical/subtropical regions
- Wellbeing-certified workplaces
Recent work analyzes post-pandemic work patterns, biophilic design effectiveness, and adoption challenges of WELL Building Standards. Her projects provide evidence-based frameworks for creating sustainable, healthy built environments.
