Dr. Arianna Brambilla is an Associate Professor in Architecture and Associate Dean (Education) at the University of Sydney's School of Architecture, Design and Planning. She holds a PhD in Building Physics and Systems and a GradCert in Higher Education. Her research bridges architecture, engineering, and sustainability, focusing on human-centered design, building performance, low-carbon technologies, and healthy environments. She co-chairs the Building Efficiencies cluster in the Smart Sustainable Building Network and is an active member of the Sydney Environment Institute and The Net Zero Institute.
Her academic background combines architecture and engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy. Key research areas include moisture management in buildings, biophilic design frameworks, and innovative envelope technologies. She has authored/co-authored books like *Moisture and Buildings* (2021) and *A Biophilic Design Guide* (2022), and leads projects on decarbonizing non-domestic buildings, multisensory environments, and resilient design strategies.
