Behnaz Avazpour

Dr Behnaz Avazpour is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Melbourne School of Design (The University of Melbourne). She holds a PhD from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, focused on water management and climate change adaptation in urban environments. Her expertise bridges academia and industry, specializing in sustainable solutions for complex built-environment challenges.

Research Interests: Behnaz’s work centers on sustainable urban design, climate resilience, indoor environmental quality, and human thermal comfort. She explores performance-based design strategies and integrates cultural considerations into landscape architecture and future city planning. Her research also addresses infrastructure innovation and healthy communities.
