Chloe French

Chloe French is a Research Assistant (KOKU) and PhD candidate in the Division of Nursing, Midwifery & Social Work at The University of Manchester. Her research focuses on promoting healthy ageing through digital interventions, nutrition, and physical activity for older adults. She holds a PhD in Nutrition (2021-2025) focused on developing a web-based platform to encourage healthy lifestyles in individuals over 70. Her qualifications include an MSc in Human Nutrition (University of Sheffield) and an MA in Mathematics (University of Edinburgh). She is a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) since 2020.

Key research interests include digital health interventions, nutrition in chronic conditions, and biomarkers of ageing. She contributed to the ThRAll Challenge dataset on allergen detection and co-authored a consensus statement on ageing biomarkers. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and sustainable communities.

French has received two prestigious awards: the 2024 Best Oral Presentation and the 2022 PGR Excellence Award. She collaborates with the Healthy Ageing Research Group (HARG), contributing to projects on systematic reviews, qualitative studies, and digital health innovations. Her datasets and publications emphasize evidence-based approaches to improving health outcomes in older populations.
