Chen Bo-Yu is an Adjunct Lecturer at National Kaohsiung University and affiliated with the Graduate Institute of Political Science at National Sun Yat-sen University. His research focuses on international relations theories, Cross-Strait relations, and Japanese foreign policy. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from National Sun Yat-sen University (2011) and has conducted visiting research at the University of Okayama, Japan (2006–2007).
Education highlights include a Master of Law from National Cheng-Chi University (2001) and a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese Literature from National Taiwan University (1998). His work spans theoretical explorations of non-Western international relations frameworks and empirical studies of Japan’s ODA and regional diplomacy.
Key awards include the 2006 Ministry of Education Study Abroad Scholarship and multiple conference travel grants (2005–2008). His publications analyze topics such as civilizational approaches to IR theory, Sino-US-Taiwan dynamics, and Japan’s security strategy. He has presented at institutions like the London School of Economics and Keio University.
