George Nee is a Visiting Professor at the European Research Center on Contemporary Taiwan, affiliated with the Institute of Political Science at National Sun Yat-sen University. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from National Chengchi University (2015). His research focuses on cross-strait relations, nationalism, economic inequality in Taiwan, U.S. political dynamics under Trump, and contemporary issues like right-wing populism, AI's societal impact, and Taiwanese social movements.
During his 2018 residency (Jan-Feb), he contributed to interdisciplinary discussions on modern political challenges. His work bridges academic analysis with public discourse through columns and activism.
