Dr. Chen Te-sheng is a Research Fellow at the Institute of International Relations, National Chengchi University, Taiwan. He specializes in local governance of Mainland China, Cross-strait economic and trade ties, and business studies in Taiwan, Japan, and Korea. During December 1–15, 2015, he was a Visiting Scholar at the European Research Center on Contemporary Taiwan at the University of Tübingen. His research focuses on East Asian economic development, Taiwanese businessmen studies, and regional trade dynamics.
Dr. Chen holds a Ph.D. in East Asian Studies from National Chengchi University. His work has been published in journals such as the Chinese Political Science Review, Prospect Quarterly, Issues & Studies, and Mainland China Studies (TSSCI). He has also edited books on East Asian economic development and business studies.
His research interests emphasize cross-strait relations, governance structures in Mainland China, and comparative business strategies in Northeast Asia. During his visit to Tübingen, he contributed to academic discussions on contemporary Taiwanese studies and regional economic integration.
