Charlotte K. Williams

Charlotte K. Williams is a Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, University of Oxford (2016–present). Previously, she held the position of Professor of Polymer Chemistry and Catalysis at Imperial College London (2003–2016) and conducted postdoctoral research at the Universities of Cambridge and Minnesota.

• Research Focus: Her work bridges catalysis, polymer chemistry, and green chemistry, with a focus on sustainable polymers, carbon dioxide utilization, and homogeneous metal catalysts.
• Leadership Roles: Chair of the Chemical Sciences in Society initiative on sustainable plastics, and member of EPSRC Strategic Advisory Team and the UK Catalysis Hub Management Group.
• Commercialization: Founder, Director, and CSO of econic technologies, raising over £20M in investments and employing >30 staff.
