Charlotte BARCAT

Charlotte Barcat is Lecturer in British Civilization at the University of Nantes' Faculty of Foreign Languages and Cultures, where she serves as Deputy Director of the Humanities Department for International Relations and leads Europe course internationalization. Her research centers on Northern Ireland's post-conflict transformation, with particular expertise in Derry/Londonderry's peace processes and Bloody Sunday legacy.

Her research interests intersect peace and conflict studies, collective memory, and European integration, examining how public inquiries, cultural institutions, and infrastructure projects facilitate reconciliation.
