Charles S. Bullock III holds the Richard B. Russell Chair in Political Science and serves as University Professor and Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor at the University of Georgia's School of Public and International Affairs. He has maintained his faculty position at UGA since 1968, with a two-year exception as Professor of Political Science at the University of Houston, and conducted research as a senior fellow at Oxford University's Rothermere American Institute in 2005 and 2009.
His research spans core political science domains with specialized focus on American political systems, particularly Southern regional politics, electoral processes, legislative behavior, and constitutional frameworks.
