Catherine Wheatley is Professor of Film and Visual Culture and Vice Dean for Education in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at King's College London. Her research explores film philosophy, ethics of spectatorship, and postsecular cinema, with monographs on Michael Haneke and Stanley Cavell.
Recent work examines wonder in film, narrative complexity in television, and footwear symbolism in cinema. Engages public audiences through BFI collaborations and media appearances.
