Julie Lobalzo Wright is Associate Professor in Film & Television Studies at the University of Warwick's Faculty of Arts, where she serves as Director of Student Experience and Progression (Film and TV) and Director of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion for SCAPVC. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), she holds a BA in English with Film Studies emphasis from University of Colorado at Denver, MA in Film Studies from Queen Mary University of London, and PhD in Film Studies from King's College London.
Her research focuses on film and television stardom, musicals, multimedia stardom, Hollywood/American cinema, British cinema and television, and animation. Current projects include a book chapter on Alan Partridge/Steve Coogan, a journal article on Goldie Hawn's producing work, and a monograph about Barbra Streisand's agency. Her publications reveal consistent engagement with crossover stardom, gender representation, and the intersection of music and film industries.
