Dr Catherine MacKenzie is a Fellow Commoner and Director of Studies in Land Economy at Magdalene College, University of Cambridge. She is a member of the Faculty of Law, where her research focuses on international environmental law, biodiversity, forest law, land use, and public international law. With judicial office as a Governing Master of the Bench of Inner Temple and experience as a UK Commonwealth Scholarship Commissioner, she has held leadership roles such as Chairman of the University Board of Scrutiny and Dean of Degrees at Green Templeton College, Oxford.

Her research spans international environmental law, public international law, and EU law, with a focus on biodiversity and land use governance.
