Dr. Cassandra Tytler is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Education at Edith Cowan University. She holds a PhD in Theatre Performance (Monash University, 2021) and a Bachelor of Arts (Visual Communication) with First Class Honours (RMIT University, 2000). Her work bridges video art, performance, and installation, focusing on site-based practices that challenge exclusionary narratives through relational politics.
Research Interests: Cassandra’s research integrates feminist and queer theory with post-humanist frameworks to explore environmental education through creative practices. She investigates how art can foster ecological responsibility by intertwining human, non-human, and environmental relations. Key areas include site-specific installations, ecofeminist pedagogies, and speculative art actions that reimagine human-environmental interdependencies.
