Cassandra Champagne is a Lecturer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of New Haven, part of the Tagliatela College of Engineering. She joined as a full-time Lecturer in Spring 2023, following her role as an adjunct instructor since Fall 2020. Her expertise spans geotechnical engineering, geoenvironmental engineering, and remote sensing applications.
Education:

Research Interests:
Her research focuses on geotechnical engineering applications, including landfill settlement analysis using 3D drone-generated models and correlations between cone penetration test (CPT) data and soil parameters for foundation design. She also explores geoenvironmental engineering challenges and remote sensing technologies for civil infrastructure assessment.
Professional Experience:
Prior to academia, Cassandra worked as an earth retention design engineer at G2 Consulting Group, designing braced excavations, retaining walls, and cofferdams. She currently serves as the CT Valley Geo-Institute Committee Chair with the Connecticut Society of Civil Engineers, contributing to professional development and industry engagement.
