Carrie N. Baker is the Sylvia Dlugasch Bauman Professor of American Studies and Chair of the Program for the Study of Women and Gender at Smith College. Her work focuses on reproductive rights, gender policy, and feminist activism. She holds a J.D. and Ph.D. from Emory University, alongside degrees from Yale. Baker’s research examines the intersection of law, policy, and social movements, with notable contributions on sexual harassment, sex trafficking, and medication abortion access.
