Nancy Baker, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of History at Sam Houston State University (SHSU). She specializes in the history of gender, politics, and reform, particularly focusing on feminism and anti-feminism in the United States. Her research includes projects on the Equal Rights Amendment battle of the 1970s, feminist legal reforms in Texas, and divergent feminist views on sex work. She has held leadership roles, including SHSU Faculty Senate Chair (2014-2015) and Interim Associate Vice Provost (2016-2017). Her academic contributions span teaching, research, and service.
