Jessica Pliley is an Associate Professor of the History of Women, Genders, and Sexualities at Texas State University, serving as Interim Director of Women’s and Gender Studies. She holds a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University and specializes in the history of anti-trafficking movements, the FBI’s role in policing sexuality, and transnational feminist activism. Her work bridges legal, gender, and global history, examining how policies targeting sex trafficking have shaped national and international institutions.
