Dr. Pam Lowe is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology and Policy at Aston University, within the Society and Politics School. She holds a Senior Tutor role in the department and teaches modules including 'Pregnancy and Politics' and 'CSI: Crime, Subversion and Injustice.' Her research focuses on women's reproductive and sexual health, feminist theory, and qualitative methodology, with a particular emphasis on abortion rights, anti-abortion activism, and reproductive coercion. Current projects include a British Academy-funded study on reproductive coercion in healthcare settings and an ethnographic study of UK-based anti-abortion activism.
Lowe's qualifications include a BA (Hons), MA, and PhD from the University of Warwick. Her work spans sociological analysis of gender-based violence, religious influences on activism, and policy impacts on healthcare access.
