Professor Caroline Mansfield is the Executive Dean of Edith Cowan University's School of Education. Previously, she served as Executive Dean at the University of Notre Dame Australia (2021-2022) and Dean of Murdoch University's School of Education (2005-2018). With over 30 years in education, her expertise spans teacher resilience, wellbeing, and veterinary education. She holds a PhD in Education from ECU (2002) and has led multiple research projects funded by organizations like FUJIFILM. Key achievements include developing online resilience resources for teachers and securing the 2016 Australian Learning and Teaching Fellowship.
Her research focuses on teacher stress management, employability in veterinary professions, and curriculum innovation. Notable contributions include the VetSet2Go project on veterinary employability and the BRiTE initiative for pre-service teacher resilience. Mansfield also chairs Western Australian Deans of Education on the Australian Council of Deans of Education Board, emphasizing her national leadership role.
Publications span teacher well-being interventions, veterinary career motivations, and educational policy impacts. Her work bridges academic research with practical applications, such as mindfulness programs for school principals and collaborative curriculum development for student resilience. Grants include a $90,000 sponsorship for 3D printing in STEM education (2022–2025).
