Carolin Vegvari is a Visiting Researcher at the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology within the School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College London.
Education:
- PhD in Biological Anthropology, University of Cambridge
Her research integrates computational biology with public health through stochastic simulation models of complex systems and clinical trial frameworks. Current projects focus on elimination strategies for neglected tropical diseases in collaboration with Roy Anderson. Her extensive portfolio includes antimicrobial resistance evolution analysis, environmental infectious disease risk mapping, obstetric care resourcing optimization, latent tuberculosis screening protocols for HIV patients, type II diabetes biomarker identification, pneumococcal vaccine development, and molecular resistance diagnostics. She also investigates cultural evolution dynamics through quantitative modeling of cognitive and social innovation processes.
