Dr Carol Maddock is a part-time lecturer at Swansea University, operating across the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences (FMHHS) and the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE). She is affiliated with the Centre for Ageing and Dementia Research (CADR) and contributes to the TEA at SUNRISE project, focusing on solar energy deployment in rural communities in India and Africa. Her work bridges health promotion, dementia literacy, and participatory approaches to renewable energy, emphasizing the intersection of gender, ageing, health, and climate change.
- Research Focus: Community co-production in health and sustainability projects, including the OPTIC project (older adults' perspectives on climate change).
- Collaborations: Cross-disciplinary teams across all Swansea faculties, external partners in India (Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Cambridge), and Africa.
