Carol Bullin is an Assistant Professor at the College of Nursing, University of Saskatchewan, where she joined in 2011. She holds a BSN (1997), MCEd (2004), and PhD (2014), all from the University of Saskatchewan.

Dr. Bullin's research focuses on chronic disease management, particularly chronic kidney disease and diabetes in Indigenous populations. Her current work includes the co-development of culturally-appropriate educational tools to assist Indigenous peoples in making informed decisions regarding treatments for failing kidneys, and a project on pediatric type 2 diabetes prevention with First Nations and Metis communities. She employs mixed methods in her research.
She has received several honors including the Elizabeth van Valkenberg Award for Excellence in Nursing Education (2016), the Provost’s College Award for Outstanding Teaching (2016), and the Outstanding Acute Care Telemedicine Achievement Award for Clinical Innovation (2014). She was also nominated for the USSU Teaching Excellence Award in 2024.
Dr. Bullin has been awarded multiple grants, including a CIHR Team Grant (2023-2028) as a Co-Applicant for the Strong Bodies, Spirits, Minds, and Voices project, and as Co-Lead for the CanSOLVE CKD Project 3.3A (2016-2023). She also served as PI for the Kidney and Health Wellness Days project funded by SHRF in 2018.
She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Society of Nursing and the CanSOLVE CKD Project Leads Committee.
