Carolyn Brooks is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Saskatchewan, where she focuses on social control, theoretical criminology, youth resilience, and intimate partner violence. She serves as the Interim Academic Coordinator for the Certificate in Criminology and Addictions Program (CCAP).

She collaborates extensively with researchers like Karen Wood, Jennifer Poudrier, and Mitch Daschuk.
Selected grants include SSHRC funding for youth resilience research (2011-2013), Prairie Action Foundation grants for IPV studies (2020-2021), and CIHR/SHRF funding for Indigenous women's health projects.
